AI tools and gadgets, tested in everyday life.

Lived With AI explores a simple question: which AI tools earn a place in daily life?

I’m Ren Akiba, a product professional based in Japan. I’m not an engineer. I enjoy trying AI services and collecting gadgets, and I care about what makes a product useful after the initial excitement wears off.

What you’ll find here

  • AI wearables and physical gadgets: setup, comfort, reliability, and reasons to keep using them.

  • Comparisons of AI services, including Claude, Codex, and Grok, using practical tasks.

  • Voice assistants, smart homes, and everyday automation: where they save effort and where they add it.

How I’ll test

Each hands-on review will explain what I tried, the conditions, what worked, and what failed. I’ll include relevant device and software versions, subscription costs, and regional or language limitations. First impressions will be labeled as such; longer-term conclusions will need longer-term use.

Testing from Japan adds another useful question: does the experience change with language, location, or service availability?

If a post contains affiliate links, sponsorship, or a product supplied for review, I’ll disclose that in the post. An affiliate link may earn me a commission if you buy through it. Reported hands-on results will come from actual use.
